Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPSP)
Support for young people with complex mental health needs
Some children and young people need more support than a GP or short-term counselling can offer, but do not meet the threshold for hospital-based or specialist mental health services. That’s where CPSP can make a difference.
The Accoras Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPSP) provides free, outreach-based mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people aged 7 to 17 years living in the Logan and Beaudesert region.
We work alongside young people and their families to build skills, strengthen relationships and support everyday functioning, helping young people feel safe, supported and better able to manage life’s challenges.
About the program
CPSP delivers clinical and non-clinical psychosocial support for children and young people experiencing complex mental health and psychosocial challenges.
The program focuses on early support and intervention, helping young people develop practical skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen resilience and reconnect with their family, school and community.
CPSP fills a critical service gap for young people whose needs are beyond primary care, but who do not require hospital-based or tertiary mental health services.
The program is funded by the Brisbane South Primary Health Network.
